Our Purpose is to be a community of Jesus

As a community of believers, we acknowledge that we cannot achieve anything of value in God’s eyes without being in close personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.  If we fail to rely on Christ for the motivation and ability to do any work, it will be a dead work – fruitless and not worth pursuing. (John 15:5)

So we rely on Jesus Himself, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to help us be a community of Jesus - 

• An adoring and reverent community, offering worship that pleases God.

• A welcoming and encouraging community, where people find it easy to belong.

• A loving and caring community, showing God’s love in real ways to one another and to those around us.

• A believing and fruitful community, making followers of Jesus and helping them to grow in their faith, as God intends.

we believe in

• The true humanity and deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• The atonement made on the Cross by our Lord for the sin of the world.

• The person of the Holy Spirit as the one who sanctifies and who sets apart, empowers, and imparts spiritual gifts to the church.

• The inspiration of the Bible and its authority in all matters of faith and practice.

• Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone.

• Membership of the church being for those who have received salvation.

• The immersion of believers as the only scriptural form of baptism.
